Willi Kunz Article

Willi Kunz, author of Typography:Macro- and Microaesthetics has an article in the latest NewWork magazine.
"Newness is not achieved by reading professional literature or being preoccupied with the output of other designers – it is the reward for hard work, patience and trust in the value of one’s own ideas."

Very intriguing read (that is, if I'm interpreting Kunz's words correctly). When it comes to fiction writing, I always felt that there was no such thing as a "new" or "original" idea...just new/original applications and interpretations. Everything is something revamped. That can be said for any art form, I guess.
My generation seems to be pressed to create work that is entirely unique and add ourselves to the list, but that desire alone won't help anyone.
